A tribute to Julie Dammers - god bless you poppet...

It is with great sadness that we have to break the news of the passing of
Julie Dammers.

No one had been more fundamental to the success of our many fashion shows than Julie Dammers. With her energy, enthusiasm and mischevious sense of humour, Julie was an inspiration to hundreds of aspiring models at shows in far flung towns throroughout the UK including Lincoln, Cambridge, Hemel Hempstead, Redhill, Luton, Burton-upon Trent and Uxbridge.

Julie was a consumate professional with a fantastic knowledge of the fashion industry, but combined this with a down to earth approach that allowed her to share her knowledge with everyone she met. One day Julie would be mucking out horses, cleaning her holiday lets or sorting out a car boot sale, the next day she would be elegantly choosing the latest collections for a catwalk show.

Julie never stopped looking the supermodel with the height, poise and posture of someone stepping out of the Ritz - in spite of the fact she had probably just stepped out of a B&B.

In every respect Julie was a classy lady with as big a sense of fun as her inate sense of style - We're really going to miss her!

"I worked with Julie a good 20 years ago if not more, and she was the most fab, warm and funny lady.  I always looked forward to working with her, and that cackling laugh she had still resounds....  As an agent she was great, and offered sound advice, and she really looked after her 'girls'.  She will be sorely missed."
